Bel UK Environmental Policy
The Bel Group has for many years been committed to a Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) approach and has now fully integrated CSR at the heart of the company strategy.
As the UK subsidiary of the Bel Group, Bel UK Ltd fully embraces the Bel Group CSR initiatives and wishes to deploy its policies at the level of its operations in the UK, in proportion to its local activities and ambitions.
In order to achieve our goal to ensure our long term commitment to continuous improvement and prevention of pollution, Bel UK has chosen to use the framework provided by the ISO 14001 standard.
To ensure cohesion with our mother company as well as compliance with the UK and EU environmental regulatory framework, Bel UK environmental system is based on the four pillars of the Bel Group CSR policy, adapted to the scale and scope of our operations in the UK.

Bel UK Ltd imports, markets and sells branded cheese products in the UK and Ireland: Mini Babybel, The Laughing Cow, Port Salut, Leerdammer and Boursin amongst others.
The distribution of these cheeses is managed by Bel UK Ltd through a third party haulage Company.
Such activities carry risks to the environment. To maximise our positive impact on the world around us, whilst minimising the negative impact on its resources Bel UK is committed to manage those risks to reduce its impact on the environment and make the best use of its assets to support the society in which it thrives.
We will endeavor to measure our impact on the environment and set targets for ongoing improvement as part of our annual business target, which will be shared with all employees in the same way as our other business objectives. However, in view of the scale of our local operations, we will not make these engagements public.
Bel UK Ltd is committed to use resources wisely and to increase our contribution to the world by involving ourselves in our community.....and encouraging others to do so.
Bel UK Ltd will encourage the adoption of similar principles by its suppliers.
